About the Azeroth Advisor

The Azeroth Advisor is an electronic newsletter that is personalized to your World of Warcraft characters. It is automatically delivered to you by email, customized to your character's current level and status. Our idea is simple: give you the information you need when it's relevant to you. The Azeroth Advisor is not a cheat guide or a set of walk-throughs; it is insightful guidance that helps you make informed decisions throughout the game.

Each issue of the Azeroth Advisor will provide:

Detailed information about new spells or abilities that will become available to you shortly.
Recommendations for areas of interest to explore with advice specific to your class.
Instance guides that provide detailed information about the dungeons, tailored to your character. These guides provide an introduction to the instance, quests you should pick up before entering them, and what you can expect once you are inside.
A map of your current location pointing out key vendors, trainers and NPCs that are useful to your particular character's class, professions and active quests.
Much, much more. You can build a sample newsletter from our home page. Just choose a realm from the list and enter a character's name.

Why is the Azeroth Advisor better than what I can find on the Internet?
It's true that there are many informative articles, blogs, guides, and forum posts available on the Internet, although very few of them have been reviewed and approved by Blizzard Entertainment. We believe that the Azeroth Advisor stands out in two ways:
- The information you find out on the Internet is often very inconsistent in quality. Many people have strong opinions about how the game should be played. A lot of them are wrong or misguided. World of Warcraft is constantly changing from patch to patch -- this can force once great sources of information to be out of date and irrelevant.
- What's out there is either everything you'll ever need to know or bits and pieces. Using our specialized software, we are creating newsletters that are focused on providing information you can use right now. We'll keep your eye on the prize of Level 80 but your real focus on what your options are right now.
How does all this work?

When you install the Azeroth Advisor Uploader, a World of Warcraft addon is also installed. This addon will gather all the information about your characters necessary to create a personalized newsletter. After you exit World of Warcraft, our Uploader client will send that information to our server (or you can use our manual upload feature), which then creates a Newsletter customized to your current character information, and then mails it out to you.
Whoa! You mean you're grabbing my password or you're a keylogger?

Not at all. The World of Warcraft AddOn system allows us to run our information-gathering plugin only while you play. We can only collect information that Blizzard Entertainment makes available -- like your character's level, race and location. Our software doesn't look at your password, log your keystrokes or "hack" your system in any way.

But, since we know that there are legitimate concerns about the gathering of account information, we have a manual upload feature that enables subscribers to avoid the use of our uploader client. Subscribers can install only the addon and then upload the text file containing the character information until they are comfortable with the service
What is the Cancellation Policy?

Your account will be deactivated immediately upon cancellation.
How do I know it's any good before I sign up?

While the Azeroth Advisor is a free service, we believe that seeing is believing. Visit our home page and enter in one of your character's name and his or her realm and we'll create a personalized newsletter for you. We're convinced once you receive a newsletter tailored to your character, you'll sign up.
How often will I get a Newsletter?

Each of your characters will receive a newsletter every level or once every week, whichever is more frequent. You can use our service for all of the characters on your World of Warcraft account.

Whenever you discover a new zone in the game, you will also be sent a Special Edition newsletter containing a personalized map for those newly discovered zones.
What Languages Do You Support?

Currently, the Azeroth Advisor is published in English (US) only. In addition to the language of the newsletters, the personalized nature of the Azeroth Advisor requires that we be able to process the information about your characters. In situations where that information is not in US English, such as on the EU servers, our software is currently unable to understand that information and generate newsletters. Our goal is to publish the Azeroth Advisor in additional languages in the future but we do not have any release dates for that.
I'm Level 80, what do you have to teach me?

If you've been a top level character for an extended period of time, run every instance and mastered the battlegrounds and arenas, there might not be that much we can teach you. We still think that our advice will help you if you're rolling a new character, though.
