About The Azeroth Advisor

Doug was the creator of Ms. Pacman and lead the development of over seventy videogames in the 1980's. Prior to founding Mentor Media, he was the President of TV Guide Consumer Electronics. Previous to that, he founded and ran VideoGuide, which pioneered interactive program guides and the delivery of interactive news, sports and weather information to televisions.

As President of Mentor Media, John is responsible for the day to day operations of the company, recruiting and hiring and participates directly in the editorial process. A long-time RPG player, John was most recently Vice President of Operations and Quality for Gemstar TV Guide's Consumer Electronics division. His background in electronic publishing and content distribution includes working for large scale services developed and deployed by AT&T, Ziff Davis and Individual, Inc. (Newspage).

Tom is Mentor Media's Chief Technology Officer, responsible for setting the technology direction and defining product architecture. Also a long-time gamer, prior to starting Mentor Media, Tom was the CTO for TV Guide Consumer Electronics, providing guidance and direction to senior management and the development teams. Previous to TV Guide, Tom held senior technology positions with Sun Microsystems, Gigapacket, and General Computer.

Randall is responsible for the majority of images you see when viewing a Newsletter. Anything from the mastheads to the article dividers are products of his (electronic) pen.

Betty is the primary developer of the public facing aspects of the Azeroth Advisor web site, making sure that the site is attractive and uncluttered. Working closely with the entire team, Betty ensures that there is a smooth and consistent experience for visitors to our web site.

Drew has contributed heavily to the design and development of the Azeroth Advisor. Many of the custom and instance maps are the results of his efforts. Additionally, Drew has written code that has resulted in the personalized nature of the Azeroth Advisor.

Ross has been instrumental in the creation of much of the mapping information and code that are used in our customized maps. Additionally, Ross has been directly involved in the review of many of the articles based upon his in-depth game experience and research.

Robin has the daunting task of finding any bugs in our software before you do. Her previous work experience includes QA for IBM and Technical Support for Lotus, prior to the purchase by IBM. Robin's been playing WoW since August of 2006 and is currently exploring the ways of the Rogue.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of the Azeroth Advisor is the quality of the articles in each newsletter. This is because we have hired a staff of professional editors to review each article and ensure that the quality meets our high standards.

Obviously, thousands of newly written articles don't just happen. These articles are the work of almost 100 talented and knowledgeable World of Warcraft writers. Our writing team consists of players with usually several high level characters in play. They demonstrate extremely strong insight into those characters' skills and roles, and a great proficiency in articulating that in writing. We are extremely proud to have such a great group of people on the team.
