Product Support Questions
- What is the Azeroth Advisor?
The Azeroth Advisor is a customized newsletter filled with
valuable information and advice. Newsletters are
custom-generated for you and periodically sent
via email as your characters advance through the game.
We'll send you guides to new spells as you learn them, dungeon
walkthroughs when they're appropriate for your level, and guides
to regions that your character has visited.

- How is it Different From Other Guides?
Other guides have lots of information and tips; so do the WoW forums.
The Azeroth Advisor is different because we customize the guidance we
give you based upon your character's level, location and stats. With
our newsletter, you don't need to filter through mountains of WoW
information to find the answers you're looking for.

- How Often Will I Get Newsletters?
Delivery varies based on how fast you move through the levels and how much time has passed since your last newsletter.
At a minimum you will receive a new newsletter every 2 levels or once a week.

- Can I Subscribe for More Than One Character?
Yes, the game allows you to create and play several characters on the same account. You can receive newsletters for
all the characters on your World of Warcraft account, and add or remove 'active' characters whenever
you'd like. There is no limit on the number of characters that can
receive newsletters.

- Can I Buy Someone a Subscription as a Gift?
Yes! All you need is the subscriber's name and email address to purchase a gift subscription.

Technical Support Questions
- What Information Do You Gather and
What Do You Use It For?
We gather information about your character so that we can
customize your newsletter. World of Warcraft allows us to do this
via an AddOn that you load while you're playing the game. With this
AddOn, we can collect things like your character's name, race,
talents, equipment, spells and current location.
We cannot (and will never try to) capture your account password
or any other information that doesn't help us accomplish
our only goal, giving you great World of Warcraft advice. The sole
purpose of our AddOn and software client is to make the newsletter
generation process completely automatic for you.
One more thing - we won't share any of the information that we
gather about you or your characters with anybody. We take your privacy as
seriously as we do our own.

- I'm Not Getting
Newsletters, What's Wrong?
There are a few things that can prevent you from getting your Azeroth Advisor
Newsletter:
- Our Addon is not enabled in World of Warcraft - Log in to WoW and click the Addons
button that you see on the Character Selection screen. Make sure that the Character
Profile addon
is checked and enabled.
- The Azeroth Advisor Upload client is not installed or running -
PC: You should see our icon (a compass rose with an "A" in it)
on the task bar. If the program is installed but not running you can start it
from Start, All Programs, Azeroth Advisor Uploader, Azeroth Advisor
Uploader. If it's not installed, you can always download the client from
www.azerothadvisor.com if you don't
have it on your machine.
Mac: You should see our icon (a compass rose with an "A" in it)
on the task bar. If the program is installed but not running you can use
Spotlight to search for "Newsletter" in the Applications category. (You
probably installed it in the Applications directory, but it's not required
to be there.) If it's not installed, you can always download the client from
www.azerothadvisor.com if you don't have
it on your machine.
- Your mail system may be flagging the Newsletter as Spam. Check your Spam/Junk
Mail folder to make sure that our Newsletters are not being flagged as junk mail
incorrectly.
- There may be a conflict with another addon you are running. Try disabling
all other addons or selectively disabling other addons to determine which one,
then report the problem to us at
support@azerothadvisor.com so we can investigate the conflict. When
reporting this problem, please provide a URL to the page hosting the Addon
and the version of the Addon you are using, if you have that information.
- Your firewall could be blocking our client. If you are running firewall software
on your computer, you may need to configure it to allow the Azeroth Advisor Uploader
(AzerothAdvisor.exe) to make outbound connections. Many Firewall applications will
prompt you at the time the Uploader attempts its connection. At that prompt, you'll
be able to OK that and all future connections.

- My Newsletter Has Weird Spacing in It or the Text Doesn't Look Right.
The most probably cause for this is that Some mail clients will attempt to "clean up" the HTML in rich text emails and some do better
jobs than others. We have seen some cases where Gmail (Google's Mail service) will do this with
their web client. If you are experiencing this with a particular mail client or service, please
fill out the form below
and let us know what mail client/system you are using and the version. We will attempt to contact
the developers of the product to get it resolved.

- I'm Not Seeing Images in My Newsletters.
Your mail client is most likely blocking the images from being displayed. Most mail clients
will have a button or a link making it easy to tell it to show our images and to make that change
permanent.

- How Can I See What Information You Are Uploading?
All the information that we gather and upload to our service is stored in a file
called MM_CharacterProfile.lua.
PC: Assuming that World of Warcraft is installed in
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\
you would find one of these files for each character in:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<YOUR_ACCOUNT_NAME>\<REALM_NAME>\
<CHARACTER_NAME>\SavedVariables\MM_CharacterProfile.lua
Example - For a subscriber id of Joe_User, who has a character named Tim on the Dark Iron Realm
the upload information would be in:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft|WTF|Account|Joe_User\Dark Iron\Tim\MM_CharacterProfile.lua
Mac: Assuming that World of Warcraft is installed in /Applications/World of Warcraft/
you would find one of these files for each character in:
/Applications/World of Warcraft/WTF/<YOUR_ACCOUNT_NAME>
/<REALM_NAME>/<CHARACTER_NAME>/SavedVariables/MM)CharacterProfile.lua
Example - For a subscriber of Joe_User, who has a character named Tim on the Dark Iron Realm
the upload information would be in:
/Applications/World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/Joe_User/Dark Iron/Tim/MM_CharacterProfile.lua
